Stay Informed 2025 Nevada Legislature
The 83rd Session of the Nevada Legislature has begun! To date, nearly 1,000 bills have been requested and about 500 have been introduced over the last two days. Throughout the session, more bills will be introduced into the Assembly and Senate, debated, and voted on for consideration by Governor Lombardo. A number of these bills affect planning issues and topics or may directly impact a municipality or regional agency.

This list will be updated periodically throughout the session, with bill results distributed to the Northern and Southern section for post-Legislative discussions. - Important Dates (Subject to change):
- 4.11.25: Bills must be passed out of committee (first house); those that don’t cannot proceed further, pursuant to Joint Standing Rules, unless declared exempt
- 4.22.25: Bills must be passed out of the first house
- 5.16.25: Bills must be passed out of committee (second house)
- 5.23.25: Bills must be passed out of the second house
- 5.28.25: Budget bills and exempted bills from committees must be introduced
- 6.2.25: Session concludes at midnight

- AB 28 - Revises provisions governing transportation funding; extends RTCSNV ballot question to 2028 – To Committee

- AB 61 - Revises provisions relating to toll roads; authorizes toll road connecting Sparks with I-80 near USA Pkwy – To Committee
- AB 96 - Revises provisions relating to master plans; adds urban heat element – To Committee
- SB 28 - Revises provisions relating to economic development; expanded undertakings for housing and transportation in tax increment areas – To Committee
- SB 48 - Revises provisions relating to planning and zoning; ensures consistency between master plan and zoning; new master plan elements – To Committee

- SB 61 - Revises provisions relating to annexation / detachment by certain cities within Clark County – To Committee
- SB 99 - Authorizes certain governing bodies of a county or city part of TRPA to impose impact and linkage fees on certain developers. – To Committee
- SB 147 - Revises provisions relating to regional planning of transportation; creates new Southern Nevada Regional Planning for Economic Resiliency Pilot Program – To Committee
- SJR 4 - Urges the Federal Government to support certain land use planning principles when conducting projects in this State – To Committee
- BDR 65 - Revises provisions relating to development and zoning.
- BDR 372 - Authorizes the creation of business improvement districts under certain circumstances.
- BDR 614 - Revises provisions relating to public transportation systems.
- BDR 743 - Revises provisions relating to transit.
- BDR 783 - Revises provisions governing transportation funding.
- BDR 784 - Revises provisions related to transportation.
