Experts predict that the 2020 fire season will be extreme and destructive, especially in rural mountain areas and communities located in the Wildland-Urban Interface (WUI). In this webinar, Mike Tarantino of the Colorado State Forest Service and Michele Steinberg of NFPA will offer information about how to protect communities from wildfires, including home hardening recommendations; defensible space and vegetation management guidelines; important forest health trends; available resources and grants; and key landowner actions to improve fire risk mitigation. Hope is not a strategy, so make sure you’re prepared to beat the fire!
