Under direction of the Planning Director, the Senior Planner plays a key role in the function of the department.  As a project manager, team leader, and workload coordinator, the Senior Planner is a unique opportunity to play several important roles in the organization.  Examples of the duties include:

• Plans, directs, coordinates, and reviews the work plan for the department; assigns work activities, projects, and programs.
• Reviews complex development proposals and works with developers to reach agreement on site proposals.
• Presents to Planning Commission, City Council, community groups, and outside agencies.
