State Land Agents conduct a broad range of real estate transactions related to State lands, leases, water rights, mineral rights, easements, navigable water management, and acquisition and sale of land, water rights and development rights within statutory authority and in accordance with established real estate principles, practices and ethical standards. 

This is an underfill for a State Land Agent 3. Under limited supervision, the State Land Agent II position completes a wide range of real estate-related projects in the State Land Office, including acquisition or disposition of land and interests in lands; processes applications for permits, leases, easements, authorizations to use state lands, managing state resources in land, water, mineral, developmental, and other aerial or subsurface rights in accordance with statutory authorities and established real estate principles and practices. The State Land Agent also coordinates and maintains a close working relationship with other state agencies to ensure real estate services to these agencies are completed in a professional and timely manner, which includes evaluating their short and long-term needs. Additionally, the individual will perform research in a variety of areas, including title research, property history, and review of state and federal laws and legislative intent.
